swollen glands

Good day, 5 months ago I had vaginal sex with a prostitute using a condom. had taken a lot of beer, so I do not remember which state did the condom. I got tested for HIV to the 6th and 12th week and the result was negative. Now I have groin lymph and neck glands swollen. May be HIV? I do more testing?

Thanks for your answers.

Hi, an hiv test at 12 weeks is conclusive.

They only say in rare cases it can take up to 6 months for antibodies to be detected. In these rare cases, it is mostly people with autoimmune disorders.

Unless you have one of these disorders, I would say you can be positive that you DO NOT have hiv :)

the 6 months is also said for liability reasons- but 3 months is more than accurate.

Seroconversion takes place within the first 2-6 weeks of infection.  Chances are this new deal that you're facing is from something else.

Hello,

I get where you are coming from with your glands. I have the same thing. However, if you look at all the posts regarding testing it is clear that at three months it is conclusive which you have had. So, you should be rest assured. Maybe if your glands persist you should see your doctor for other reasons.
