Question for TEAK about symptoms and or testing

Teak -

I had an ill planned encounter with another male wherein I was the receptive partner without protection.  I just have a few questions:

1) Based on the above info do you feel that a negative result at 12+ weeks is conclusive? (still have a week and a half to go).

2) I know you can not define newly aquired infections by symptoms alone, my question is about ARS rash.  Does it have the feeling of a slight sunburn (meaning heated and all over)?

3) Is the presence of a fever mandatory or can you exhibit other ARS symptoms without fever (meaning rash with no other flu like symptoms)

4) Is it possible for ARS to be delayed and show up in the 9-10th week post encounter?

Thanks for taking the time to respond to each of these questions, I know some may be duplicated but it seems that some people take the time to answer and others just berate concerned new members.  I appreciate any and all help.

lol...who's obsessing?  I simply asked one question.  I find it ironic that you are support/help mechanism for the HIV community but get angry when a new user asks more than one question.  I'm not looking to make enemies here, in fact, I value what people like yourselves do on your own volition without compensation.

Just looking for a few answers, and these answers have been given out on the board before with a variance in definition.

The two of you seem to be board moderators in a sense so I am reaching out.

stop obsessing about lymph nodes.  you have a 9 week negative test result and that result is HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHLY unlikely to change.  you only have a week and a half to go until you can obtain your conclusive test result.

got it, not asking for a diagnosis, more of attempting to use your knowledge base to subside some fears/concerns.

If you can't answer these I have a question about a previous statement(s) you made.

You said that lymph node swelling from ARS is painless, correct?  As for the ARS related rashes you have stated they do not cause an itch but what about heat/burn?

Again, I appreciate any insight.

The ONLY way ARS is diagnosed is by a POSITIVE antibody test.

I appreciate that, and while I realize you are not a dr, nor in the habit of diagnosing ARS could you please answer my other questions.  Thanks so much!

One more question:  would a test at 9 weeks be considered accurate +99%?
