testing at 40 days

is this to early for testing i have read that if positive it would show up in this time frame

     i have taken a hiv test yesterday which was day 40 for me hoping its neg then i will test the first of the year that will make it 4 months for me then

it slipped off either during sex or when i pulled out she had condom in her hand it did not look balled up or anything so im hoping it came off when i pulled out i just not for sure

You said, slipped off. Was that on withdraw or during sex? If it slipped off during withdraw, you don't need to test for HIV. But if it slipped off during sex then you need to test. 3 months is when you get your conclusive result. Next time it might help that you get condoms that fit.

Its highly unlikely cause you used a condom but for your peace or mind Dr.HHH says 6-8 weeks is enough time
