here he is, that what everybody thought you might have overlooked it but , it' good to hear from you , thanks mister teak ..
ok , thank you lizzie and everybody , it's been hard to wait all the three months that were a bigg torture for me and after that hear i have to wait or anothers. but i'll try to forget and move on even though it's a reaaaaally a hard thing . thanks again everybody.
If you wouldn't have put all that unnecessay stuff in your post I wouldn't have over looked it. I'm sorry for over looking it. 3 months is conclusive as everyone has advised you.
oh good lord...we "all" sometimes misread posts...which is exactly what teak did.
ACCEPT YOUR STATUS ! ! !
thank lizzie , i respect your opinion and i hope what you are saying is true, but could you just assume why would teak say such a thing to retest even after i did at 13week . thanks
you do NOT have hiv and your test PROVES this fact.
accept your negative status and move on with your life.
i thank you so much pinkworries , and kumar . i was going frustrated especially after teak's comment . i did other std's tests and all came back negative. it's just some unexplained symprtoms that still up to day are making mwe worried from the possibility that i might be excluded form 99% of people would test posetive by 13 weeks and a negative test at 13 weeks is not enough. but at least when read comment like yours and kumr's and joggen i breath even for sometimes before worries get to me again.
I'm not an hiv expert but I am a nurse. A WBC count of 9.5 is normal. Usually bacteria will raise your WBC..for example strep throat and a viral infection will lower it. There are plenty of viral infections other than hiv. I would not worry at all about your WBC count. The other questions someone else will have to answer, but a test at 3 months is conclusive.

he must have overlooked your question regarding your negative 13 week test..
you are NEGATIVE...accept the fact and move on..there are so many people in this forum who wish they could be in your place right now..think about it
thanks so much for this releiving answers that mean a lt to me. i was happy somehow due
to negative results but i just wanted to get other people 's thought ,regarding the negative finferprick test at 13 weeks and still symptoms , but when Teak (whose advise are also relible ) said to me
"Take your HIV test now it's been longer than 3 months and it will be conclusive."
it worried me again because i have read his comments which he always ook a 13week negative as conclusive , but from his respond i understood i might be excluded from this 13 week conclsive
"and did rapid finger stick at 11 and 13 weeks came negative"
As kumar told you, your 13 week test result is conclusive. Test results 3 months or later always trump symptoms. You do not have HIV and should forget about this incident and move on with your life.
wbc count cant and is not used to diagnose hiv..
yes it will be detectable
time to move on..
thanks kumar for responding , but do you thing a wbc 9.5 is normal or high that indicates that i'm infected .?
and do you know if hiv strains in colombia and turkey are detectable by fingerprick test in new york.? please your answers would help
nono...a test at 13 weeks is CONCLUSIVE regardless of the symptoms u'r experiencing..time to forget about hiv and move on..go see a doctor regarding health issues..NOT due to hiv
guys pealse respond, i'm waiting for you comments, now teak have made my worry even higher , i had written i did an ELISA test on 6 weeks and did other rapid fingerprick test at 12 and 13 weeks and all cme back negative . from teak's comment that he said i should do a test again made me very anxious because iknow teak takes a 13 week test as conclusive but not in my case ? why is it because i still have symptoms , or my wbc is 9.5(which i assume is high and they say the higher it's the most likely a person is infected.
and does a fingerprick cover HIV 1 and 2 , or could it miss somestrains that the person i had sex with might had or picked up when she was in vacation in turkey and colombia .
please help .
if you did a test at 13 weeks then its CONCLUSIVE
so you are saying my 13 week finger prick test that came back negative is not reliable with the presence of some symptoms. please reply.
so i should another test even though i have done one at 91 days post exposure with fingerprick test, i thought this was conclusive but some symptoms srtill preventing from beleiving it and also somereading people's comment who already tested negative after 6 months and still worried ..and is my wbc normal or 9.5 indicates that i am infected ?
Take your HIV test now it's been longer than 3 months and it will be conclusive.
Relax, the symptoms you are experiencing are a result of anxiety, Everybody here will tell you that a negative test at 13 weeks is conclusive. Always use a condom. T.C.
Stress can cause rashes (hives)...sorethroat, headaches. So maybe because you are worrying about it so much, you are causing these symptoms. Same kind of thing happened to me. I also got tested and was negative. If you were infected with HIV, your symptoms would be alot worse I reckon. You would be sick, physically...and it would feel alot worse than a rash or a headache. Tell your doctor the situation and get blood tests done. Get another HIV test done in three more months too. Good luck!
