what are my risks

Hi,

I regrettably had sex with a thailand female prostitute. During the encounter, we deep kissed, I sucked her nipples and she gave me an brief unprotected blow job. The vaginal sex was protected with condom of unknown quality (it's hers). After the sex, my condom slightly slipped off the base after I withdraw, but the cum is still intact in the condom (at least it looked like it to me). And due to my tiredness, I did not check for possible condom leaks. Later on, she gave me another handjob without condom.

1) What are my chances of getting HIV in this single exposure, I'm worried about the unprotected ~3 min oral sex, and the possible poor quality of condom and a slight chance my penis was exposed to her fluids.

2) When should I get tested for HIV? and what specific kind of HIV tests should I go for?

ppl lie about their exposures !

lets say you are a "straight" male, who decides he is a little curious.  you are married with 3 kids and love your family.  you decide to have unprotected sex with someone and dont know their status...you contract hiv.
now...you are faced with loosing everything...your wife...your kids...everything that is important to you.
do you tell your wife that you had ANAL SEX WITH ANOTHER MAN?  or do you try and downplay it to "just oral sex" ...hoping to keep your family intact?

FROM THE HIV EXPERTS HERE AT MEDHELP:

There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex.  The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way.  Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk".  There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".
DR. HANSFIELD

"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex.  Please educate yourself about the real risks.  If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. "   DR HANSFIELD

"I am sure you can find lots of people who belive that HIV is transmitted by oral sex, but you will not find scientific data to support this unrealistic concern..."   DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread by touching, masturbation, oral sex or condom protected sex."- DR. HOOK

in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?
I TOTALLY AGREE / DR GARCIA

The observation on thousand and thousand of observations is that HIV is not spread by oral sex (of any sort).  DR. HOOK

"With regard to the question you ask, I will repeat, as I’ve said more times than I can think- there are NO credible cases in which persons have acquired HIV through performance of oral sex- none!!.  The chance that you will be the first is ridiculously low.  You are more likely to be hit by lightening while reading my reply to you. DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread by masturbation, through oral sex, through kissing or other casual contact." DR HOOK

"There is no credible evidence that HIV is spread through oral sex, with or without the presence of cuts or blood in the persons mouth."- DR HOOK

"Oral sex. there is no evidence that HIV is spread through giving or receiving oral sex"- DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread through oral sex."  DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread through giving or receiving oral sex"   DR HOOK

these quotes are from drs who specialize in hiv...not some "non verified" report by individuals.

not going to argue this point back and forth...the stance on this forum, as well as the expert forum, is that hiv is not transmitted through oral sex.

Hi Lizzie,

Thank you for your reply. I want to know how can you be so sure with no risk from oral sex? There has been documented cases and first-hand experiences stories of oral sex transmitting HIV all over the web. How do you explain that?

you had NO risk and do not need testing.

prostitutes use the correct condoms.   they are doing a JOB and want to protect themselves from YOU, their paying customers ! ! !

oral sex does not transmit hiv.

please be frank with the assesment of risk
dont round off a 1 in a million chance to a zero chance

cos if it's 1 in a million, I would stop any intimacy with my gf until my window period is over and I get tested properly
