husband losing hair

Hi,

Is there any way at all to stop hair loss?  My husband is 40 and he still has hair, but he is slowly losing it.  His father is bald on the top of the head, so does that mean that my husband will absolutely go bald too?  On my side, we have a lot of hair, so I am hoping my son will keep his hair when he is older, but I guess genetics plays a role and is it really known where the hair loss gene comes from?  I read that 95% of men experience hair loss.   There has to be some kind of treatment that a person can use to stop the hair loss, since the number losing hair is so high.  We have treatments for everything, so you would think that there would be a safe pill or something to stop at least some of the hair loss, such as in the front.   I love my husband, with or without hair, but he has said many times, that he fears his hair loss.

I have read that Emu oil is good, but maybe it is just a myth.

That's the million dollar question we all are asking.  There are health problems like in the thyroid that can cause hair loss.  I've researched this a lot and it appears the only thing that has been proven to actually regrow hair is Rogaine.  But it's something you have to use consistantly and if you stop, all the new hair and then some will fall out. I know many men and women who are searching like crazy because a lot of women are now losing their hair.  I have 2 close friends who both have to wear wigs. I've heard about all the supplements, massages, and none are known to work.
