Can I add coverage to my existing employer insurance plan?

I plan to start the fertility treatment which isn't covered my current insurance plan from my employer.  Is there a possibility for the insurance company to add the extra coverage on individual basis?  I will certainly pay the difference.

Dear lin010300,

You can contact your current Insurance Carrier to find out if they can add additional benefits to your specific policy. In my experience, to add additional benefits to an employer sponsored plan, the employer has to add the benefit to the entire group plan. You can check with your employer about that as well.
