23 years old mild-moderate lvh

I was hoping someone knew about lvh survival rates and if anyone had this around my age. I have been on hypertension meds for almost a year and a half. Decently controlled 130/70. I'm very active playing basketball about everyday, 2-3 hours a day sometimes 4. I'm 6'3 and I'm in good health otherwise I suppose. This has me worried my doctor has me on no limitations as of exercising. Lvh was a thickness of 1.5 or 0.5 and he's said everything else was fine. I need insight please, it will appreciated greatly.

Hi, understand your anxiety.  Left ventricular hypertrophy is more common in people who have uncontrolled high blood pressure or other heart problems. But please understand treating high blood pressure can help ease your symptoms and may reverse the left ventricular hypertrophy. According to studies done, LVH regression occurred in 13% of patients treated with the ACE inhibitors, 9% treated with calcium channel blockers, 6% treated with β-blockers, and 7% treated with diuretics, suggesting that overall, the ACE inhibitors were probably the best drugs for LVH regression. So, continue with your medications and follow lifestyle measures to keep the pressures controlled. Regards.
