Abdominal pulsation

by Ned200, Oct 09, 2009 05:56AM
I am a generally healthy 55 year old male with no history of heart problems, not on any heart medication with normal blood pressure and low cholesterol.  I have noticed, however, that when lying on my stomach, especially during exercise, I can feel a very strong pulse in my mid-abdomen and, when doing a lot of core strength work, I can get nauseous.  Should I be concerned about an abdominal aneurysm or other such condition?

I've had a noticeable pulse in my abdomen all my life. A couple years ago my doctor didn't like the strong pulse and sent me in for an ultrasound. Nothing wrong with my artery. Good to know but I still have the strong pulse.

If you haven't had an ultrasound of the abdomen yet, it might be a good time to do it, just for peace of mind.
