Atenolol and easy bruising

I have been on atenolol 25 mg since about March but I was never able 2 take that much because it bottomed me out, so i have been taken 1/4 of a pill at bedtime. Well 2 days ago i wake up with 2 huge bruises on the back of my leg no idea where they come from i googled and said that is a serious side effect i dont understand why it is i am FREAKIN OUT some one help the reason i started taken this was for tachy n PVCs i really need some one to help me

Atenolol is a beta blocker medication - you can bruise easy when on it .. and sometimes it takes a while for the bruseing to heal up.  or go away.. I read this can happen as one of the adverse side effects .(easy bruseing )  you may have while sleeping bumped your legs or moved wrong and brused your legs ? I wouldnt count out
that it happend as a side effect (as its listed )   under adverse side effects !  

also If you can not tollerate the medication as per you taking 1/4 of a pill.. due to problems you had.. Its best to try and go back to your Doctor and ask to try something diffrent, as clearly you can not take this medication.  

You are not alone !  alot of people can not tollerate meny b.p medications, beta blockers
seem to have the most side effects.  as well alot of people are allergic to the fillers used in meny generic drugs and non generic drugs !  

If you have a good Doctor, he /she will find you another medication you can take.
beta blockers are used for pvc's  palapations -  lowering b.p.    however beware of long term use - 3 to 4 years on them -  you can look up long term effects online  under the drugs name as  long term side effects .
