Chest Pain and laying down

I was laying in bed Sunday night proped up with pillows working on something as well as watching TV.  The next morning, I had terrible chest bone pain and some pain in my back.  As the day progressed, the pain went away.  In the evening again, the pain increased.  I tried to lay down Monday night and the pain was so bad in my chest, I ended up sleeping half the night sitting up on the couch.  I took Ibuprofen and that seemed to help.  Again, the pain subsided during the day and is back again in the evening.  My thought is that I compressed my chest bone while proped up by pillows Sunday night.  Could there be more going on?  The pain is not as bad as Monday night but still very bothersome.

Thanks,
