CHF possibility ?

My name is Bryan
I am suffering with CHF symptoms, im not sure if it is but i took an echocardiogram and still await the results, my doctor visits are scheduled for next month, and on the 20th im going for a pulmonary function test, my symptoms included are... Shortness of breath on occasion, Swollen ankles and feet at times, i am obese  (362lbs) 5'11, feeling generally sick in my chest like its full, but not a normal feeling of sickness, and last night i felt dull chest pain in the heart area and back also my left arm in my pit, and it moves to my right and my neck and head at times, i just recently quit cigarettes 17 days now, my vitals are normal blood pressure about 124 over 80 and blood has 98% oxygen also my EKG is totally normal i took it twice in one week, and they took an X-ray for my chest and said they see something in my lungs, i also get some joint pain not to painful. and pain in the bottom oh my left heel, and my head feels alot of pressure, cold shakes, sweats, but these feelings come and go.... but when feeling this pain i get anxiety and a hot burning feeling in my chest, i am very worried and the doctors told me to wait for my appointments for primary care, but i feel so worried and the visits are so far away....... Please help me!!

I went to the ER anyway, they told me my Echo was normal 77%, He said that i might have Anxiety Condition and it might be effecting my physical state, he has given me information on it and i will do much research, and i am going to be living healthy and exercising on a regular basis, Thank You for your response, and on the money too doc....

The symptoms you desribe above may be heart related but other conditions, especially restictive lung disease due to obesity should be ruled out.  I think having PFT's is a good idea as is having an echocardiogram.  The echo will most likely be normal at which point the likelihood of congestive heart failure is low unless it is due to diastolic heart failure which will also be evident on echocardiography.  I don't think it is very urgent to see a physician right away.  I think it's OK to wait for your appointments.  However, if your chest pain becomes more frequent or the shortness of breath is more persistent I would urge you to seek medical attention emergently.
