LIPTOR

CAN YOU PLEASE TELL IF LIPTOR CAN CAUSE CHEST PAINS?  MY HUSBAND IS TAKING THIS MEDICATION AND HAS BEEN HAVING CHEST PAINS SINCE HE WAS PUT ON IT.  HE NEEDS TO TAKE THIS MEDICATION BECAUSE HE HAS CALCIUM DEPOSITS AROUND HIS HEART AND HAS EXTREMELY HIGH LEVELS OF CHOLESTEROL (IT IS INHERITED FROM HIS FATHER'S SIDE OF THE FAMILY).

Generally Lipitor does not cause chest pain.  I would strongly recommend your husband call his doctor before the weekend and let him know about his symptoms.
