Echo versus EKG

I had posted about an Echo I had done abouta month ago, everything was fine. I had to see a cardio for clearance for surgery that I Will have in 11 days.

The cardio said the Echo was great and I needed no other tests done, but the hospital requires a EKG.

THe Ekg findings have me concerned because I do not understand them, the Cardo did say it was okay and no changes from 18 month ago.At that time I was told I have a right bundle branch and nothing to wrry about.

measurements results:

QRS-- 90
QT/QtcB---454/441
PR------166
P----114
rr/pp--- 1122/1050
p/GRST-----65/-5/43 degree.

Interpretation

1.Sinus bradcarda with marked sinus arrthymia

2.Possible left Atrial enlargement

3. Borderine Ekg.

My Echo said left and right atrial normal in sze and normml sinus rhythm

What Is this EKg saying? it does not souns like I should have clearance for major surgery. I am 69 years ol.

My heart rate was 57 but I have always ad a slow resting rate. My echo it was 52.

Thank you for your time, Line

The echo trumps the ECG when it comes to evaluating any structures in the heart, so it seems like everything is normal and there is no RBBB on the ECG with a QRS duration of 90 msec.  The heart rate of 50 to 60 is completely normal.  Woundn't worry about it as long as you donlt feel tired of lightheaded.  Overall, with an normal echo and normal ECG and no chest pain or shortness of breath with exertion you can go ahead with low to moderate risk surgery without any further testing.

I take 5 mgs of lisinopril per day and seems my heart rate is always in the mid to high 40 and low 50's. I feel fine, but this rte too low?
