"Gold standard" care for left ventricular diastolic dysfunction

by Griffin5, Sep 20, 2007 03:34PM
My father has had a long year of medical problems ranging from shortness of breath, rising and lowering blood pressure followed by excessive fluid retention.  He was recently diagnosed with left ventricular diastolic dysfunction.

My question: Are there new procedures to correct this problem and what is the "gold standard" for treatment in this area?
