Is there ANY pain relief medicine I can take while I'm on Warfarin (Coumadin)

My toothache has been keeping me up for days. I searched the net and found out that I shouldn't be taking Ibuprofen or Mefenamic acid because of an increased risk of bleeding in the gut or something like that. :( Is there anything I can take? My tooth is killing me.

*Please don't suggest going to the dentist. I'm waiting for another 2 weeks, by then my doc will probably take me off Coumadin. (then i can have my tooth extracted or whatever the hell the dentist wants to do with it). Until then, I need something to manage the pain.

note : I'm 10 wks post op. (valve repair last June 2011)

I think that besides the pain, it should be risky for you to have the tooth infection after your valve repair, so probably you should check with your cardiologist to see if an antibiotic it is recommended.

As per the pain, I think that you can take Tylol, but most probably, this will not solve your pain. I personally, use topic anesthetic that I place in a cotton and introduce on any whole in the tooth.

Jesus.
