Just curious...

Just curious... is in normal to be able to see your heartbeat in your body?

Example... like if you were to lay down and lay something on ur stomach and see it bouncing up and down...

Just curious!! :)

I can see my heartbeat in my stomach and neck.  If I look close enough I can even see it in my wrists and just below my ankle.  It's really weird.  I don't even have to feel anywhere to take my pulse.  I can feel it just sitting here.  It drives me crazy!

When you can see your stomach bouncing up and down, you are really seeing your abdominal aorta pulsating (large artery running down your upper abdomen). It is easier to see in thin people simply because there is less tissue between that section of the aorta and the surface.

for what i know since you are slim there is less muscle between your heart and the "outside" so the beats are more noticable. that is what i was told anyways by my doctor.

You must be a slim person.  Yes, it is absolutely normal for that to happen.
