Left ventricular Hypertrophy

by Heartgrl, Aug 06, 2009 05:10PM
I am a 14 year old girl and was diagnosed yesterday with left ventricular hypertrophy caused by my hypertension. The cause for my hypertension is unknown. I don't exercise but Im fit and normal weight. I keep a low-slt diet. I am not being treated with atenolol 25 mg twice a day. So my question is that how quickly does the ventricualr hypertrophy usually progress? When I saw my cardiologist iN january i did not have it and in a 6-month period it developed.

I also have mitral valve regurgitation and diagnosed with arrthmias.
