Hi, I am 56 years female, enjoying good health, and ofcourse I am already through to my menopuase. Recently I have noticed that I have lots of missing heart beats quite occasionally and my heart flutters/quivers, but this causes me no discomfort. Missing beats have been noticed during my pulse checking and checking of Blood Pressure. I consulted my physician about this irregularity, but he said that do not think about this problem, and keep myself away from stress, tension and fatigue. My all blood tests are normal, treatmill test is normal, my lipid profile is excellent, since I daily take cholesterol lowering medicines. I have no other problem. I worry a lot about this problem, though my doctor says that it is normal to experience missing heart beats and that there is no abnormality in the heart. At times my heart flutters heavily, and then it becomes OK. I try to avoid caffeinne and other fatty foods, but still I get this problem. Can someone advise me about this problem. PRESENTLY MY HEART SKIPS A BEAT AFTER EVERY 8/10 BEATS. Thanks guys for your advise/opinion so that I can feel relieved. God bless all of you for taking your time out to respond to this query.
