Hi, my names john im 26yrs old, my question is, when i wake up in the mornings for work i sometimes have chest pains on my left side and my wife put her head on my chest and she said oh my god your heart is proper beating really really fast :( im too scared to get it checked out, please help? On what you think it it could be.

There are a number of different causes for a high heart rate. Some are related to the heart (arrhtyhmia) and some could be due to other conditions of the body (overractive thyroid, dehydration, infection, or anxiety). If this is causing you any discomfort or having any symptoms, you should be seen by your regular physician for a throrough evaluation. It could be completely benign but might also indicate another process going on that needs looking into.
