Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.

what is the pressure number in your pulmonary artery and left wedge pressure that means one has Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension? Also are those different in a skinny person and larger person. Thanks I have gotton conflicting statements and it is confusing me.

Pulmonary arterial hypertension is diagnosed with right heart catheterization.  The pressure measurements that make the diagnosis for Pulmonary ARTERIAL hypertension are as follows:

Mean pulmonary artery pressure is ≥25 mmHg at rest
Mean pulmonary capillary wedge pressure <15 mmHg

This should not be affected by the size of the individual.
