Questions concerning heart symptoms

I am 41 F, no family history of heart disease.  I was under high stress for past 10 yrs while caring for terminally ill husband at home with no help other than hospice.  Beginning 6 yrs ago I began having occasional PVCs, had the full range of heart tests, was told I was merely "stressed".  Tried an antidepressant but side effects were horrible so I stopped taking it.  Last yr I started having the PVCs so bad that they would take my breath away and felt like my heart had stopped (otherwise not anxious or stressed).  My dr had placed me on Effexor a couple months before and I handled it well.  When I went in to get ckd for the PVCs, he started me on metoprolol, other than feeling tired, they helped, but didnt totally eliminate the PVCs.  The dr put me on cardizem 60 mg/day, lowered my metoprolol to 50 mg/day (I cant take much more than that due to hypotension and dizziness).  This seemed to cause me to have severe chest pains (angina?) crushing, heavy sensations I felt all the way thru my back.  Went back to  dr for check up and new EKG showed too many PVCs.  The dr felt that maybe it was time to come off the Effexor if it was causing me to hold on to too much of the norepinephrine and that was what caused the elevated PVCs.  I am currently tapering off the Effexor (75/day for 7 days then 37.5 for 7 days).  He kept me on the Cardizem (30 mg 2x a day) and Metoprolol (25 mg 4x a day).  1 wk after the last visit I am still having the PVCs, less severe chest pains, and the general tiredness I have been experiencing for past 7 weeks.  There are days I dont feel like getting out of bed.  Does anyone have any experience with Effexor or other antidepressant causing heart issues?  Or, could I be experiencing some other problem?  How serious can this type of heart issue be?  BTW, I am no longer a caregiver (hubby deceased) and my stress should be diminishing, no panic attacks, obvious anxiety, etc.  I feel I am doing  fine as far as that is concerned.  Any ideas?  musicldy in MS
