Questions for cardiologist

I have to see a cardio for the first time tomorrow, lucky me! I figure many of you out there have experienced this so wanted to know how to get the most out of it and the correct questions to ask. I am bringing my recent stress test and echo ordered by my primary doctor. My tests have slightly abnormal results or I guess a false/positive response.
I was also recently started on beta blockers which Im not too happy with...
Thanks

My symptoms had been intermittent chest pain (usually left side), and had been put on beta for high BP. I requested these tests to rule out something congenital. My sister told me she remembers me having these pains growing up and saw a cardio who said I have MVP, but I dont remember going. The first part of the nuclear test (exercise portion) showed 1mm ST segment depression and possibilty of mild ichemia.
Followed up with resting pictures which give again, the possiblilty of something which isn't clear based on breast attenuation artifact. Doc then says I can see a cardio if I want to better interpret results. I had center to just right of center chest pressure and pain the day before my test and went to ER. Supposedly fine EKG bloodwork and then asked if it could be bloodclot in lung so they did CT. No bloodclot but asked for copy of results and showed Atypical Right Subclavian Artery (defect). Again left with more questions. Echo didnt show prolapse but showed trivial regurgitation on mitral and tricuspid valve. Given my recent chest pain, high bp and history Im a bit concerned but just to let you know cardio wasn't. Just lowered beta down and added another ace inhibitor. Hope I was clear enough this time...

You don't provide enough information other than you are being treated with beta blocker medication.  What are your symptoms? What were the abnormal results?

Usually, a stress test is appropriate for individuals who have chest pains (most often reason) and medication (beta blocker) treats, abnormal heart rhythm,  high blood pressure, heart failure, etc.  So any questions to a cardiologist would relate to those conditions.

If your symptom is chest pain and the test shows ischemia (lack of blood flow due to blockage), the treatment can be medication, stent implant or bypass.  You will want to know the degree of occlusion of vessels (if any), and recommended treatment.

If the EKG indicated abnormal heart rhythm, beta blocker may control and stabilize and no further treatment necessary.  If uncontrolled there what are the options.

Is the BB for high blood pressure?

Heart failure.  The echo report would indicate the degree of contractility impairment of heart muscles.  The impairmemnt would be expressed by the ejection fraction (EF) indicating the amount of oxygenated blood pumped with each heartbeat.
