I can't comment on the readings but I can comment on the feelings.  When my blood pressure is at its highest, I feel the calmest.  I'm talking high systolic BPs of 180-225+

Jose,
I have inappropriate sinus tachycardia and rarely (and I mean rarely) feel palpitations.  My heart rate has been captured as high as 170bpm and I wasn't aware.  I did however feel very tired and at times what clues me in is dizziness or something just doesn't feel right.  But rarely do I have palpitations.

I have severe coronary artery disease and had developed fairly high BP averaging about 160 over 100 before I got it back to normal with a combination fo Altace and Norvasc.

I forgot my meds on a camping trip over the Memorial Day weekend.  I drank like a fish and did a fairly difficult climb on Monday.

When I got home I expected my BP to be ridiculously high, but it was only 128 over 70.  So go figure.

Now all this week I am back on the drugs and having Systolic readings between 130 and 140.  I think that it will take some time on the meds to get back to normal or perhaps I should just go out camping and drink beer every night to get it back down:)

I think the BP varies and not always because of the conditions of the moment.

Dear jose,
A machine can malfunction and give incorrect readings and I suspect this was the case.  I doubt that you would have that high of a heart rate without feeling it.  In regard to the big picture I would continue to watch your diet, exercise and follow-up with your doctor on a regular basis.
