Stress Test Results

Hello,

Can this please be defined?  "Stress myocardial spect images demonstrate significant perfusion abnormality in the anterospetal region.  Rest myocardial spect images demonstrate no improvement in perfusion abnormality.  In Conclusion, soft tissue attenuation secondary to breast tissue involving anteroseptal region."

The stress test was normal otherwise except for the mention of severe cardiovascular deconditioning and the above.

Thanks-

Susan

This simply means that both your stress and rest pictures were obscured by excessive soft tissue from your breasts. When they looked at both sets of pictures, they could not see any tracer in the part of your heart blocked from view and you must not have had any EKG, BP or heart rate responses during the stress part to make your cardiologist bekieve there was a true blockage, this is good news!

Good Luck,

Jon
