I definitely recommend seeing an electrophysiologist for your problem.
Pete,
I understand. If the symptoms bother you enough, then you should change your lifestyle...both diet and exercise. This will greatly increase the quality of your life. That is what I am trying to do. My emphasis on trying. :) Your symptoms may or may not improve. An electocardiologist may be able to help you.
Michael, thank you for your answer. As for your question, I feel that the VA has never shown any interest in finding the cause of my arrhythmia, but, only in treating the symptoms. My shortness of breath, fatigue, dizzyness and chest pains are because I do not exercise or that I have gained weight. I admit to gaining weight when I quit smoking but I get tired of hearing the old comment, "that's an excuse!".
Pete
What prompted your post here? Are you having new issues? In any event, it wouldn't hurt you to see a heart rhythm specialist...if you can swing it. This can give you a fresh set of eyes on your situation.
