Can someone please explain to me why a man can be diagnosed with a problem and given a solution and be denied the care that is needed........Is there anything a person can do to get a Dr. to perform an evaluation for heart transplant, after having been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy with an EF of 20% and ICD implanted and been told that he needs a heart transplant? This person is only 33 years.and otherwise very healthy. He has been told that he is a canidate for the VAD technology but has been denied to have the procedure done by Sedar Sinai because his insurance Aetna does not cover it, what advice should be given to this YOUNG man who has a will to live, more than most and so far has been denied from most of the facilites that perform this procedure on the WestWest nile virus because of insurance refusal or lack of coverage. I find this to be very interesting.....his own cardiologist doesnt seem to be going to bat for him and he has decided to take matters into his own handsHand or foot spasms Hand tremor and has called upon the medical community for guidance. Does anyone know of any programs that might be able to help him get the care he needs and deserves?
