Vagus Nerve Implant Tune Up

by beardiethor, Mar 13, 2008 09:32AM
I have congestive heart failure, and if that is not enough, a dysfunctional vagus nerve.  In Jan 2005,
4 years after angioplasty, I received a Vagus Nerve Stimulator.  That was in a southern state. Now I'm in Ca. but my coverage does not cover the costly tune ups, so it looks like I have to find somewhere else to live (not as easy at 53 as it was as an adventurous kid).  It has to be tuned up monthly.
I can handle the mild depression (not nearly as bad as it was before the procedure) but how will this affect my heart?

Sincerely,

Rick
