Omega 3 and DHA are what's recommended:
Bellow is a summary of recommendations for FA consumption, notice that patients without documented CHD should consume those fatty acid as fish in their diet:
1. Patients without documented coronary heart disease should eat a variety of (preferably fatty) fish at least twice a week. Include oils and foods rich in alpha-linolenic acid (flaxseed, canola and soybean oils; flaxseed and walnuts).
2. Patients with documented CHD should consume about 1 g of EPA+DHA per day, preferably from fatty fish. EPA+DHA in capsule form could be considered in consultation with the physician.
3. Patients who need to lower triglycerides should consume 2 to 4 grams of EPA+DHA per day provided as capsules under a physician’s care.
Great question! I'm anxious for the response from the Cleveland Clinic. I'm taking Lovasa (formally Omacor) at my doctor's strong recommendation. I'll be interested in hearing about alternatives.

Omega 3 Fish Oil was started.
Thanks! I don't have CHD but do have PVC's (60,000 on a 48 hr monitor). Should I be concerned with it possibly having an adverse effect on the PVC's? Would it be of any LDL benefit? Thanks for your time, I really appreciate this service!
