Hi
I have been reading some studies from the 50's where variations in total cholesterol levels were recorded. Some individuals had little day to day variation whereas others showed differences of up to 100mg/100ml. If there is little change in HDL or LDL levels (up to 15% I've been told), could you tell me what component is responsible for the larger variations please?
Thank you

I suppose it depends on what food we eat, what vitamins we get from it and if we take care of our bodies, i.e. if we live in a healthy way (which includes doing exercises, avoiding smoking and eating healthy food). I think stress is important too and so is the way we respond to different situations. They say that some vitamins can help turn LDL (bad cholesterol) into HDL (good cholesterol).
