it is probably nothing. like everyone says. but get it checked out for your peace of mind. also yeah those diet pills probably cause panic attacks if not heart related stuff. They are horrible for you. Work out instead. Aerobics
Any type of stress or excitement (good or bad) will cause your heart rate to rise. That is normal. The pounding or skipping is probably harmless but until you can record it on an event monitor, it's all guess work for us. It sounds like you're concerned so it would be best to talk it over with your doctor. Hope you get some answers soon. Just out of curiosity - are you still taking the diet pills?
as soon has i got to her driveway i could feel my body relaxing- dont you think that was probably just a panic attack???
after reading all this today i had to take my kids to there gradmas and i kept thinking abou the possible arrhythmia and i had a panic attack -my heart was beating so fast my hand were shaking- i know i was just worried about what happend 3 weeks ago and something happening while i was with the kids by myself
Depending on how often it happens, but the event recorder is more likely to catch it because you wear it for a longer period of time. This may very well be Phenteramine related. It is one of the reasons to stop using it.
and is it possible that the diet pill caused this and it was just a one time thing??
do the holter moniter or event recorder always pick these things up?
You should not use phenteramine, it has been linked to heart and lung problems in the past. Also, it sound like you have some type of arrhythmia. If it bothers you enough that you are very concerned about it I would probably go see a specialist. they can order a Holter monitor or an event recorder to better identify the extra beats. sometimes nothing needs to be done, as in the case of PAC's. But if it is some sort of arrhythmia that is more sustained, there may be something that needs to be done about it.
