So how did they conclude spasm? did they observe the spasm during a scan?
If it is spasm, there are medications out there to help control them, you might consider talking to your Doctor about taking Calcium channel blockers. Arteries have muscles, smooth muscle, and use calcium to create energy. Calcium is taken from the blood through tiny channels in the artery lining. Calcium channel blockers do what they say, they stop the channels being able to absorb so much calcium, inhibiting their energy level, stopping the ability to spasm. Nitro spray can also have an effect, but if CCB work for you, this would be a far better solution rather than force ALL the arteries in your body open frequently which is what Nitro spray does.
