moderate aortic valve leaking

by Pam323, Oct 04, 2009 09:01PM
I have been told I have moderate aortic valve leaking which causes shortness of breath. What causes that to happen?
Does it get worse over time?  Is that something that comes with age or have I always had it?  I have been told I should have another echo cardiogram in a year.  I have been prescribed a statin drug.  Is there any thing else I should do or be alert to.

This discussion is related to Re: Husband's Aortic valve stenosis is getting worse, should I get a second opinion?.
