pulse/heartbeat all over my body.

Lately, I have noticed that when I go to sleep, I can feel my pulse in strange places, such as fingers, legs, stomach...and lately, all over at the same time.
Any idea of what this is?

Have you seen a nutritionist? I was having similar issues and also had hand and leg tremors along with loss of energy, stiffness, body weakness. I was being referred to a neurologist because it looked like MS or Parkinson's, but I am only 30 so it was puzzling to the doctors. I have been seeing a nutritionist for about 2 1/2 years now, so I saw my Dr. there and she checked me and my symptoms and come to find out your thyroid has alot to do with how you feel and how your other systems like nervous and circulatory systems work. I also had another underlining issue with my blood sugar which was stemming from my pancreas which affected my pituitary gland. I would recommend seeing a wholistic dr./nutritionist as they know much more on how the body works and can help figure out what is going on. They also give natural supplements which are better for you than the prescribed medications that traditional doctors prescribe. Those over time actually only add to lingering and more health problems.

I don't think there is a good medicine for this.  I have tried a few anxiety pills and they don't really work for me.  (Xanex, Klonopin)  All of them relax the body but there is no pill to make you stop thinking about your problems or stop thinking about your heart pounding.   Those pills actually made me worse because they made me feel funny so I always felt like something was wrong and that just increased my anxiety.   You just have to keep telling yourself that you are ok and try to focus on other things.   I find that keeping busy and distracting myself keeps my mind off of it.

Thanks for answering.
It really helps.
I think I do have a deep anxiety condition and it manifests in health concerns.

Is there no medical relief for this symptom you think?

My pulsating has begun subsiding after the gifted Xanax and now it seems more wavelike instead of constant, (all day, night everywhere). Now it is like a wave sporadic in different sections of my body but still consistent.

I did have a horrendous work stress week beginning the day I started pulsating.

It is good to know I can share
Have a good evening

Listen up everyone.   I share all the same symptoms and have lived with them for years.   Guess what, it is anxiety and psychological!   But the physical things we all feel are REAL. They aren't just in our heads.   Anxiety and nervousness cause your heart to beat a little bit harder.   But the bottom line is that we have all freaked out about our hearts and bodies so much that we become aware of every little thing now.   Normal people's hearts cause their bodies to shake also but they just don't think about it and ignore it. But if they sat there are started paying attention to every beat and noticed every time something felt funny with their body, they would join our club.  We all have a fear of death and that something is wrong but we are all fine.  Once you start to think about these things, every little thing becomes a big deal but it really isn't.  You are all fine.  Trust me.  I still struggle with this like the rest of you but I have learned to ignore these things and tell myself I am healthy and it's slowly getting better. Do the same and you will feel better too, but it takes several years....

I became conscious of this condition Saturday the 22nd, had intense workout Friday.
Everything you all say is true and this can control your life and mind.

Advil helped relieve it but in me, it causes stomach sensitivities.
Xanax given to me by a friend really helped-maybe is anxiety?

Consulted Internet neurologist who believes this is over- exertion from exercise. Did not ask me questions or further me to be tested.

Has anyone tried a steroid based anti inflammatory? Wondering if it will work.
