tight chest, trouble breathing, nausea

well here is my question i tried to post this in respiratory but it was full, so maybe you can help (i hope),     so i am a 29 yr old male and for several months i've has this virtually constant,  miserable tight and heavy feeling in my chest,  and a feeling of perpetual nausea .   the tightness n my chest and nausea seem linked since they get better and worse along with each other.     The chest feeling is like its hard to breath in all the way, i guess like my airway feels tight in the upper part of my chest (my best attempt at a description),      So in the rare time my chest opoens up some and I can breath better I dont feel so nauseated ....  Well, you know i say nausea but it's different sort of...just a blah, pukey feeling.     Hard to describe.  But my chest definately feel very tight and heavy and it's often hard to breath in  almost like my lungs are weak or something.   Or there is something squeezing in my chest preventing it.    I've also had some painful palpitations which i never had before,   but if that's all it was I' wouldn't be in too much distress since they're only occasional.

i had a stress test,  an echo, EKG, CT of head, and chest xray that came back normal..   I was wondering could this maybe be severe asthma or something even though I dont wheeze    or something else?

this might sound funny but it will cost nothing and might give some clues - try taking simple antacid like zantac or similar and see what happens.
Also Try drinking something very acid like pineapple or orange juice or eat a few grapes or some fried onion. See what happens. I have suffered similar things fo years and have a friend the same. We react to acid / alkaline foods strangely and get similar symptoms. I've also had all the tests, get SVTs and have been hospitalised with it all without any real answers from the doc's.but by regulating what foods I eat /drink can kind of manage things.
I'd like to hear how you get on and please try this for your own sake. You might be amazed - I really hope so.

Hi I have asthema and my chest gets a very tight feeling , also.
Allergies can also cause those same feeling this time of the year. Some people feel tightness in thier chest when allergy season is in my daughter and i are having a terrible time this year . Trouble breathing, tightness in our chest. I have had allergies since i were in my 20's now i am 45. People do not realize how bad allergies can affect your life.
My allergies started off with headaches congestion then trouble breathing to asthema to
anxiety which i believe was brought by all my allergies. Symptons can on go on and on.
Maybe it is related to food. Food allergies can also make your chest tight. I would  an see an allergiest ENT. They can test you to see what you are allergic too. Also the doctor is right be tested for asthema . Allergies have messed my life up. I found out that i am allergic too a lot  of foods. I had to pay for my blood to be drawned because my insurance does not pay for food testing but it did pay for my testing that i done for dust pollen mold trees grasses etc......... Anxiety can cause all kinds of problems and you might not realize it.

This could be an atypical form of asthma.  trying the beta agonist is not a bad idea.  talk to your doctor about that.  Consider getting pulmonary function test to rule out asthma.  I don't think that this is cardiac at.  It would be very unusual based on your age.  The negative stress test further supports that, as well.
