Aarythmia - 50% Blocked Artery

All,

My father has just passed away and we have been told by our doctor that a 50% blocked artery caused an iregular heartbeat which killed him. My question is, is this a common thing and are there any further questions i should ask the pathologist as it all seems a little unclear.
My initial thought are as follows:
Which artery
What was the state of the other arteries
What type of aarythmia

All help greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Will
