Blood pressure after pacemaker insertion is it dangerous 160/80

I have had a pacemaker inserted recently,my clinician says it is working perfectly.I had a bout of light headiness and nausea recently after exertion, and had it checked again, still working fine.I went to my doctor and he says if the nausea continues I will have to go back to the heart department for tests. He measured my blood pressure and it was 160/80 as it was the last time it was checked. He seemed to think that it was fine,is it? My drugs are 5mg cilazapril , 20mg pantoprazole ( for acid reflux), 100mg aspirin EC.

Your systolic is pretty high but I guess it's pretty usual for someone who just received a pacemaker as your body is trying to find adjustments. Diastolic indicating 80 is perfectly normal and nothing to be worried about. For you own knowledge I might specify that a systole is a phase of the cardiac cycle where the myocardium is contracting in a coordinated manner in response to an endogenous electrical stimulus, and pressure is being generated within the chambers of the heart driving blood flow. A diastole, in the other hand, is the period of time when the heart fills with blood after systole.
