eplain in simple words what this report means and the consequences?

showed the left ventricle demonstrated over all good resting systolic function with reduced left ventricular end diastolic cavity size secondary to right ventricular dilatation with mild septal wall flattening there was normal diastolic function there was an extensive sinus venosus  atrial septal wall defect measuring 2.80cm with laminar left to right shunting with shut peak instantaneous velocity 1.44m/s  corresponding to peak instantaneous pressure gradient=8mmHg with mean flow gradient=4mmHg the right ventricle was severely dilated at  5.10cm although with preserved resting systolic function with good tricuspid  annular plane systolic excursion = 2.40cm there was trivial  tricuspid regurgitant  jet peak instantaneous velocity =3.18m\s right ventricular systolic pressure is estimated at 50mmHg  the aortic valve demonstrated three mildly sclerotic leaflets with good cusp excursion without any obvious aortic insufficiency or significant stenosis as peak instantaneous pressure gradient=7mmHg there was mild valve leaflet thickening with trivial intermittent mitral regurgitation into a normal right atrium. Glossy normal pulmonary valve  There was no left ventricular hypertrophy  the pericardium  was normal there were no images of thrombus seen within the chambers  mild increase in Qp;Qs = 1.3;1.0
measurements IVSD 0.865; LVIDD =2.79;  LVPWD 0.891; LVIDS = 1.85; AO =2.88;  LA -3.29 fractional shortening 33.5%.

I am not sure what the results mean either or what test this was. Who ordered the test? They should explain what this means or refer you to a cardiologist. Was there another section near the bottom that gives overall impressions, In  other words give overall impressions of the heart and if further treatment is needed.

I sincerely feel that your test results need to be gone over by a doc because you are being super specific on what they showed.  I know even with my background i def. would not be comfortable in even commenting on any part of it.  This site does have doctors that check in fairly often and you will know who they are by their moniker and their yellow symbol designating them as physicians.  The other thing you can do is to re post these test results to the Medhelp Ask a Doctor forum that you can find by scrolling back up to the top of your screen and clicking on it...good luck to you with this...its just that you are tossing out all of the techincals and i honestly believe only a doctor can decipher the results for you ....and to be honest it should be your own doc sitting you down and telling you in laymans terms...good luck to you my friend................
