P.S. If you have the ablation and if it works out as well as mine did, you won't need the caffeine for an energy boost......you will have all the energy you need without it. Really!
I agree with claytex. After having SVT for 45 years (I am now 58), I had an ablation a week ago. After spending too many times in the ambulance having adenosine administered, and too many years of being in physical and emotional pain. Although I could have coffee, tea, or alcohol now, my feeling is "Why take chances and risk the health I fought to regain for so long." You will be able to exercise, my doctor has encouraged me to do so and I started walking again two days ago. I think once you have the ablation and are feeling better, you may also come to the same conclusion. Have you asked your EP what he thinks about caffeine consumption after ablation?
WELL MR K1300: I HAD AFIB FOR 13 YEARS AND WAS SHOCKED BACK (ELECTRO CARDIOVERSION) 14-15 TIMES. I HAD AN ABLATION IN JULY OF 2010 THAT WAS SUCCESSFUL AND TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH, I ENJOY BEING AFIB FREE SO MUCH THAT I WILL NOT EVEN CONSIDER TRYING CAFFINE OR ALCOHOL... I DO EXERCISE ...WALK 8 MILES DAILY.. LIFE IT TOO GOOD NOW TO RISK IT JUST FOR A COUPLE OF BEERS OR A CUP OF COFFEE....CLAYTEX
