HELP!!! anyone have anxiety issues when trying beta blockers

Hi All! I have PSVT, and hypothyroid. My heart rate has been off the wall so the dr. is trying different meds. I was trying to go med free but heart rate is just to high dr. said.
I have tried verapamil last year ( did not control rate well), flecainide- liked it but PCP doesn't want me on it- to dangerous .
Cardio put me on Toperol XL,had severe nausea and headaches which got better, but after 10 days I had terrible anxiety, depression. Also had a feeling as if I was a hyperactive person in a tired body, muscles tight and twitching. So PcP switched me to atenol 2 days ago..
First day I felt GREAT, now the severe anxiety, muscle twitching ,ect is coming back  And last night I woke up with tachycardia, sweating. This was unlike SVT attack, my hubby said he thinks I had an anxiety attack, very panicky, unreasonable in my response.
Maybe I am just crazy???? Or do beta blockers just not agree with me?? Has someone else had this problem??
Any good positive advice is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I usually have some mild anxiety... nothing like this!!
Thanks all!
