Hello,
Please look into Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). It is a very unheard of nervous system disorder that prevents the body from being able to properly adjust to the pull of gravity. Therefore, symptoms arise, such as: rapid heart rate upon standing, low or high blood pressure, dizziness, fainting, fatigue, sweating, anxiety-like symptoms, headaches, shortness of breath, inability to exercise, digestion problems, etc. The symptoms are endless and vary person to person day to day. Very few doctors are familiar with this illness and often misdiagnose patients.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Best wishes,
Brandi
ive read that some people get that after eating due to swollen somewhere like or a hernia somewhere in the abdomin in which case it pushes up and can cause irritation in your chest and push on your vagus nerve (might have spelled that wrong) but maybe something like that is triggering some kind of tackycardia after you eat,

thisisquite an interesting feed i found, i know there are tons more on here but hopefully you can at least get a little bit of reliefe knowing what the possibilities could be!
Usually after eating, sometimes with coffee but not always. My EP said that IST/SVT is possible and asked me to get the 30 day event monitor and then ILR if that doesn't work. He thinks my fainting is most likely NCS , so getting another TTT for that. I'm quite confused as to what is going on. I'm afraid to eat these days :) I will check out the forum you suggested . Thank you!
does it only happen after you eat? a heart rate that high can be signs of SVT
there is also a really good forum on here about gastro related heart problems you might find some answers in there that could help you out!
hope things get better..

I have the same problem..the palps are driving me nuts! HR standing 172, 157, 134 etc 20-30 min after meals and I'm unable to get a BP reading on my BP monitor maybe because the BP also goes too low. 3 days back, I actually fainted after this happened.
thanks michelle i will deffinitly take that into consideration ive been trying to watch my diet especially my salt intake. thanks for the suggestions

ive recently had Two EKGs done and regular blood tests to see if cardiac enzymes were present they said it was to show if i was in risk for heart attack but everything has been coming back normal. ive been in the ER three times since AUG 18 and im always sent home because all the tests that are done to me are normal along with a ct scan and a chest xray, earlier today my heart was just pounding accompanied by stomach pain and dizziness arm chest numbness all of it and now after about two hours im starting to feel "normal" again, I did have SVT and had an ablation done in 2008 but since then ive had no problems and have had numorous EKGS in which the doctors have compaired each EKG with each other and all look almost identical bahh! yah im really trying not to let it get to me but its just been confusing the crap out of me, it was brought up i might have Mitral Valve Prolapse, im just hoping i dont have another heart issue where they have to catch it on tape while its happening to be diagnosed again like SVT was. thanks for your input ! and i will defifnitly be going to a cardio to get an echo and probably a stress test done once again
I get this too a lot especially after a meal with high carbohydrates. I would say see your doctor for a check up but try to watch what you eat and how much you eat at one sitting and see if that helps. Take care.
I understand what you are saying. I have similar problems too. The best thing for you to do now is get a cardio work up. I have heard that the two can be related and I have also heard that they can be by products of eachother. Such as you breath differently when your heart is beating fast causing you to build up gas. Either way you need to be checked really good by a cardioligist and try not to worry so much. That makes it a lot worse I know from expeirence.
