Do I have a condition ?(~130 bpm after jumping)

Hi
I am 18
I have a 'leaky valve' (I don't know the name of the problem in english )
and also a murmur
(the later diagnosis was made half a year ago but I think  I've had the leaky valve from when I was born )
my cardiologist says it's nothing important and I should only take antibiotics before a surgery to prevent a virus from infecting my heart and don't do weightlifting professionaly.
In the past the doctors said I have a strong heart. (good pulse)
I'm generaly out of shape...due to problem's with my back I have quit exercising doing exercises very rarely
now to the thing that scared me:
when I  was in shape I used to be able to jump quite high.
I had made up an exercise :
I jumped 5-10 times trying to reach the ceiling with my fist . I dont remember my pulse getting high when I was doing it.
but now I tried jumping high 5 times and my heart rate went to ~134 bpm !!
I could hear the arteries in my neck like drums on every beat.(I used to have that when I was fit too but after long exercise like 5 minute sprint with bike )
it's quite scary !

oh...I don't have any other things to concer me like dizziness or feeling like i'm going to faint when I get tired...just the high heart rate and this 'drum' thing

Is 134 bpm a big number ?
should I do something about it ?

thank you very much !

By the way, I remember doing this "exercise" (jumping and toucing the ceiling with my hands) a few times to provoke a rapid heart rate at my doctors office. I think my heart rate went up to 147 if I remember correctly.

So don't worry

No, a heart rate of 134 after 5 jumps like that is nothing to worry about, especially if you're a bit out of shape.

In everyone, the heart rate will increase quite a bit when we suddenly start an activity. It's caused by the massive adrenaline surge we get, which is normal (after all, if we suddenly were to run away from a threatening bear or wolf, we should be able to do so without having to slowly increase the heart rate).

I've often experienced heart rates in the 150s-160s when suddenly running up some stairs in the morning (if I'm late for work and I don't have time to wait for the elevator). It's the same heart rate as I have during running, even if I'm just doing the activity for 30 seconds or so.

Try to exercise and get into shape, and trust your doctor when he is saying that your heart is OK!
