Long QT Syndrome

My daughter has been diagnosed with Long QT syndrome.  She has a diffibulator and pacemaker implanted.  My question is - can she still (even with Diff and pacemaker) experience episodes of seeming to either pass out for a very short period or having mini seizures?  She also has discoloration of her face (like a pregnancy mask) and she has the same discoloration of her lower legs and feet.

Hi,
Yes, it is possible for her to have short runs of Torsades de Pointe and not get shocked. It depends on the settings of her ICD as to how long the arrythmia lasts before it would fire. I would call her doctor immediately to make sure things are okay with both your daughter and her ICD. I can't help you with the discoloration issues but again this should be discussed with her doctor as soon as possible.
Good luck and take care,
