PVCs and Heredity

Are PVCs hereditary?  Mine began on Mother's Day when I was 33.  I get them off and on every few months.  Sometimes they take my breath away.  I am worried that my children might inherit them.  Could this happen?

I have em and have talked to my daughters and they have them and one of my sisters has them.  As to whether they are hereditary i don't know i do know that all of us that do have them in my family have trouble with anxiety and panic attacks. Our trigger seems to be anxiety and we all have something we take when we become anxious. For myself I had to be put on verapamil and inderal and they help somewhat with the pvc's but for anxiety i take xanax. I also have through trial and error have learned what alot of my triggers are.   I have made some big changes in my excersize, diet, and sleep habits and that seems to help also.

My mother had them pretty severely and my aunts had/have them too. So, I think it is pretty safe to say that "Yes" they are hereditary. I know that panic attacks and anxiety also run big time in my family and I have those problems too, so, I feel that like other genes, these are also passed down to us.

Aren't we lucky?   NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had that same question when my daughter began experiencing them. I had them most, if not all of my life, but not as severe as my daughter. My father also has it very frequent however he doesn't even notice when it happens. It seems that, yes, this has a hereditary tendency but why I have not been able to identify.

I'm in my 20's and I get them. No one in my family had heart problems or PVCs before they were much older, so in my case they don't seem to be genetic. Maybe they're genetic in some cases, but not always.
