hey  d3119,

Rapid heart beats during rest is something you should see a doctor about, if it is accompanied by shortness of breath or tightness in chest definetly see a doctor. My g'fs grandmother had rapid heart beat with chest pain one night and went to ER and it was found to be clogged artery and had to have surgery.  So to be on safe side I reccomend seeing doctor.

Hope everything turns out well for you.
