I haven't heard of a monitor like that either. However, my doctor has put me on a "Cardio Net" event monitor. This monitor is small and automatically sends readings to your doctor on a daily basis. You don't have to do anything. It does give you the option to record an event that you may find bothersome.
I haven't heard of something like that for home. My doc says that home heart monitors tend to kind of suck when it comes to catching arrhythmias. If you're having symptoms, will your doctor put you on a holter or event monitor? The one I used was a small one that captured events, and then I would phone them in for my doctor to look at.
