Should I see a cardiologist? PVC's???

Hi,
I have recently not been feeling like myself....I saw my GP and he did a holter monitor for 24 hrs. He thinks I am just having anxiety. They called me back and said it looked pretty normal...just saw some PVC's.  Is a holter monitor enough or should I request a referral for a specialist to get an echo just to make sure everything is okay? I had a 30 second phone call saying the results are fine, but I don't feel fine. I am 30 years old, female, healthy, but very tired from a one year old that is a poor sleeper. I had an emergency C-section and just recently stopped nursing and am not yet back on birth conrol. I just refilled my prescription, but am not sure how it will affect the PVC's. Help!

Thank you everyone.  I appreciate your responses. I put in a referral request online on Monday...just in case. My sister has an issue with her heart too...although it is PVC's with some sort of racing heart beat too.  I figure if they grant the referral I'll check it out, if not...oh well. I'll just learn to deal with them. I'll try my birth control and see if it helps.  I also missed my period for the first time ever last month and it ended up coming two and a half weeks late (I was sure I wasn't preggo).  So, it probably is hormones from what I've been reading. This has been going on since May 29th and started with a sharp shooting chest pain...which probably turned into anxiety...and then PVC's.  I dunno!

I agree, this is hormone related more than likely. If it makes you feel better, than I would see a cardiologist and have an echo. I bugged my doc for one until he gave in, the peace of mind was worth it, believe me.

This is all hormone related I bet.  Try to relax and hopefully in a few weeks it will settle down.  I think the BC helped mine.  It does help keep the hormones in check.  If you need piece of mind, then get the echo but remember if your doctor thought you needed it, they would have ordered one for you.  This is a hard stressful time of your life.  No sleep and hormones all over the place will place havoc on your body for a while.  Take a vitamin too.
Take care

Lack of sleep can cause PVCs, as can the stress of a one-year old.  (Father of two speaking here - our first once went 72 straight hours without sleeping)

I'd ask the docs how many PVCs they found to help as a guide to determine if anything other tests should be run - I don't know of any particular threshold of PVCs, over which you should have more tests, but if it's under a few thousand, it's likely nothing to worry about.  (I know - way easier said than done.)
