Post Ventricular Ablation, PVCs and such

I had a ventricular ablation 5 weeks ago today.  I have chronicled, for the most part, my physical sensations from the day after to about 2 weeks ago.  Now I am feeling pretty good and have started exercising again, which was one week ago, at 4 weeks post ablation.  First let me explain what I am feeling, the first time I exercised I felt fine, no vtach no "blips"(PVCs?) all good.  The second time I had two tiny "blips" toward the end of the 30 minute session.  The third time I had a bit of a more extended series of "blips", but nothing like pre ablation.  Has anyone else had this feeling post ablation and if so did these eventually go away with time, or is this something I should be more concerned with? I have read that it could take up to 3 months to heal up, is this the general consensus?   I should let it be known that I would go into vtach only when exercising.  Thanks in advance for any feedback you can provide.

Thanks for all your replies I do have an appt on Feb 3rd and will tell my EP, but I was just trying to get a general consensus of folks who have had this done.  Im only a month and 10 days out and I feel pretty good, but I am getting PVCs when exercising, but Im hoping that with time my heart will heal fully and I wont have them.  They arent nearly as bad as pre-ablation they are a blip here, there, they dont sustain more than 5 seconds or so.  Again I appreciate the replies.

I have had two ablations and I feel that it really takes more like 4-5 months before your heart gets to the way its going to be if that makes sense.  The doctors say 3 months to heal.. but I think it takes 4-5 months for your heart to get in its final post ablation grove or what ever you want to call it..hope this helps Claytex

I had an ablation for AVNRT in September and it took about 3 months for my heart to feel back to full strength.  I would sometimes overdue the exercising and experience some sypmtoms.  That said, the avnrt ablation is a lot less intense than a ventricle ablation so you may want to take the exercising slow because healing may take a bit longer.  I know I couldn't get back up to full stride for a good 2 months but I would follow Jerry's advice and consult with your doctor.  He has the best knowledge on your situation so talk to him because you don't want to over do it and give yourself a set back.  But my advice is slow and steady build back up until you feel strong enough to go full out.  Take care and hope each day finds you stronger and stronger.

It is my understanding that it takes months for the heart to fully recover/heal.  That said, I think your experience should be shared with your doctor/surgeon, and hope you are following post-op instructions concerning exercise or other activities that raise your heart rate.

Otherwise, sounds good...said as an observer, not a participant in your situation.
