I was diagnosed with a PFO, ASD with aneurysmal septal wall , MVP w. mr, IRBBB and right side of heart slightly enlarged 8 years ago after a 2nd syncope incident. Have had episodes of PVC's and PAC's for years some times worse than other times. The yearly echo shows a very slow enlargement of the right side of my heart but nothing that warrants getting the hole closed according to my Cardiologist. Recently, I was experiencing an increase in extra beats (I can feel them, although my DR. says, normally they are not felt) along with severe chest pressure prior to the extra beat coming. My cardiologist put me on a 24hour monitor and performed blood work - blood work was fine. He said a prior monitor test that I had sometime back had showed more PVC/PAC's and felt that the results of this monitor test were ok. He had no explanation for the extreme chest pressure I would feel prior to an extra beat coming on.The 24hour monitor results showed Aberrant SV vs VE pauses = 175 Bradycardia pauses, 5 SV couplets, 13 sinus tach, 66 sinus bradycardia, 7 Ventricular PB and 548 Supraventricular PB's. He said that because I had 94,000 beats in 24 hours the results were not concerning. Can anyone enlighten me as to if I should seek a second opinion or is this a relatively good result for 24hours. Thank you
