adenosine cardiolite w/o bp cuff

by rbfetus, Nov 11, 2008 04:43AM
developed a-fib, after CHF, secondary to edema caused by Actos, Hx; of severe HTN
recently was sent to cardiologist who repeated echo cardiogram, 1 month after discharge, and cardiolite stress test.

@primary care MD's office INR=1.3, BP 180/120 w/o meds due to stress test.

cardiologist never took bp: before, during ,after, 4min admin. of adenosine.
all bills were, charged for, and paid, before test given.

Is this a valid test?
can the test be performed, safely, without a bp cuff available (arm too large)
should test be repeated by another MD with equipment?
should same doc be allowed to perform cardio conversion or not? (electro)
